Points of Advice
If you are flying into North Carolina and do not plan on renting a vehicle, or want walkable conference access, we highly recommend booking the AC Hotel or the Graduate to keep your delegation entirely on foot, with easy access to all of Chapel Hill. You can take the 100 to the 800 bus to get to Chapel Hill from the airport for just $2.50. Please note that parking in Chapel Hill can get pricy, and we recommend delegations staying at the AC Hotel park in the Chapel Hill Municipal Parking Garage at 137 E Franklin St.
If your delegation is on a budget or driving to the conference, we highly recommend booking the Aloft Hotel. The Aloft offers free parking, and a fare-free Chapel Hill Transit bus route comes every 7 minutes to pick you up directly outside the lobby, dropping you off right at the UNC Student Union in about 8 minutes. If you’re driving and don’t mind paying for parking in Chapel Hill, we recommend the TRU Hotel, as it offers a free buffet breakfast and is just a 7 minute drive from downtown Chapel Hill
