League of Nations

 The Abyssinian Crisis, 1935

A SINGLE-DELEGATE GENERAL ASSEMBLY COMMITTEE

ABOUT THIS COMMITTEE

Ethiopia has need of no one; she stretches her hand unto God.
—Emperor Menelik II

Autumn leaves fall upon a justless world. October 1935.

The Kingdom of Italy launches an aggressive invasion of Ethiopia. Chaos fills the air as dictators make their marks. The League of Nations convenes in Switzerland while the Abyssinian Crisis becomes prevalent and a member state loses complete sovereignty.

While collective security was a core principle of the League of Nations stemming from the history of the Great War, this foundation is beginning to crumble away.

Delegates, the fate of the league lies in your hands. Will you risk sparking a war by taking the economic measures necessary to stop the aggressor? Or will you let history continue as it is and watch the League of Nations fade away?
