We are proud to present UNCMUNC’s first-ever 24 Hour Crisis Committee! If you clicked on this committee, then you are ready to test your endurance for 24 HOURS while discussing social media philanthropy, the monetization of digital culture, and dealing with Mr. Beast’s shenanigans! What happens if this committee goes south?
Join us from Friday morning to Saturday morning with a party in between to find out!
Advanced Committee Statement:
This 24-hour Crisis Committee is designated as an advanced UNCMUNC committee, alongside the Ad-Hoc and Dynamic Crisis committees. Awards earned in these advanced committees will receive a 1.25 weighting in the calculation of delegation awards. Advanced committees feature more complex mechanics and are best suited for highly experienced delegates, who are strongly encouraged to apply.

Lizzy Paschal is a junior double-majoring in Political Science and Philosophy with a minor in Conflict Management. She loved watching YouTube as a kid and always watched VidCon vlogs, so she is very excited for this committee!

Naomi Lenz is a junior double majoring in Psychology and Political Science, with a minor in German Studies. She loves traveling and spent the past summer studying abroad in Germany. She is excited to be part of the conference and to help make it a memorable experience.

Sunhee Frecker is a senior from Wake Forest, NC studying Peace, War, and Defense and Economics with a minor in Journalism. She serves as the Director of Delegate Affairs for UNCMUNC XVII and is the Vice President of the Carolina International Relations Association, UNCMUNC’s parent organization. She is so excited for this lit awesome committee!!!

Jane Laurence is a sophomore from South Carolina. A double major in English + Public Health with a minor in Spanish for the Medical Professions, Jane joined the Carolina MUN Travel Team in Fall 2025. She has staffed conferences in Chapel Hill and Santa Cruz, Bolivia, and is beyond stoked to see what’ll go down in this one-of-a-kind 24 hour crisis!
