ABOUT THIS COMMITTEE

Into a hidden world of thrilling capers, shifting loyalties, and geographical chaos, this committee is inspired by the Carmen Sandiego franchise. Pulling from the 2019 Netflix TV Show (but taking inspiration from the many video games, movies, shows, and card game adaptations), this committee will test delegates’ knowledge of world cultures and geographical landmarks, as well as test their deductive reasoning skills as they piece together mysteries and stake their claim for glory… or infamy. Delegates are invited to take on the roles of intrepid A.C.M.E. detectives, scheming V.I.L.E. operatives, or even that of Carmen Sandiego’s allies. Among the many puzzles to solve, heists to carry out (or thwart), and secrets to be revealed, one question will surely be on everyone’s minds: Where in the world is Carmen Sandiego?

Eileen Weng (she/her)

Eileen is a junior from Clayton, NC, studying Public Policy and Exercise and Sport Science (EXSS). She has been involved in Model UN since her sophomore year and has been a senior staff in UNCMUNC and a senior staffer in MUNCH. When Eileen is not writing a policy brief at the last minute or doing something Model UN related, you are more than likely to find her hanging out with friends, watching basketball, baseball, and/or football. She is also developing a love for volleyball, pickleball, and constantly trying to beat her NYT level-easy Sudoku (2 minutes and 5 seconds). Eileen is very excited to work on UNCMUNC XV and make it a memorable experience for everyone who attends!
