Dear Delegates,

On behalf of all of us at the Carolina International Relations Association, we are pleased to invite you to join us for the 15th Annual Session of the University of North Carolina Model United Nations Conference (UNCMUNC). We are excited to welcome you to our beautiful campus from November 21 to November 24, 2023.

Our conference prides itself on being the most prestigious in the Southern United States. Every year, delegates from coast to coast come to Chapel Hill to defend their positions, work together on solution-building and in-depth analysis of issues critical to our world's social, economic, and environmental stability, and promote youth empowerment through their voices. Delegates will have access to a broad assortment of Crisis, General Assembly, and Ad Hoc committees through historical, contemporary, and hypothetical agendas from around the world, each led by a team of passionate Chairs and Crisis Directors.

This year, UNCMUNC will be hosted under the theme, “Tomorrow is Now.” We all understand that the only certainty today is that our future is uncertain. As we move on from the COVID-19 pandemic, we must throw out the old rulebook and recognize that the world has changed. It is time for our generation to speak up, rekindle hope, and rewrite the future.

Our conference will also allow delegates to build long-lasting friendships and connect with people from diverse backgrounds through our beloved social events hosted at Chapel Hill's favorite venues. Staffed yearly by over 150 undergraduates from Carolina and hosted at the nation’s first public university, our conference is distinguished by professionalism, excellence, and constant improvement. Our team looks forward to continuing this legacy by hosting another successful UNCMUNC this fall.

We hope you consider attending our conference. We will keep updating our website with information about the Secretariat, deadlines and fees, conference policies, and committees as we continue designing UNCMUNC XV and prepare to open registration in late April. If you have any other questions, please do not hesitate to contact our Administrative team at uncmunc@gmail.com.

So, sign up, wake up, dress up, chin up, speak up, and be a part of the UNCMUNC legacy!

with joy & excitement,
