ABOUT THIS COMMITTEE

Macedonia is known in history books as the birthplace of Alexander the Great; however, this committee took place years before the great Alexander’s birth, in the year 360 BCE. Perdiccas III of Macedon has just died and has (for now) been succeeded by his infant son. However, the fate of the throne remains in question, as does the fate of Macedonia. This committee will face a near-impossible task: to protect Macedonia from a multiplicity of external threats (including the Paeonians, Illyrians, Thracians, and Athenians, among others) while also promoting stability within the state.

Delegates, Be careful. Be Prepared. History has yet to be written…

Paloma Fernandez (she/her)

Paloma is an international student from Mexico in her sophomore year. She is studying Political Science with minors in French and Data Science. Paloma’s interest in International Relations and Political Science was sparked by living in different places throughout her childhood, such as Mexico City, Belgium, and a small town in New Jersey. She is so excited to form a part of the collegiate circuit as a member of UNCMUNC’s Secretariat. Apart from MUN, Paloma enjoys crocheting, reading thrillers, and oat milk lattes (which in her opinion, can be best enjoyed at Epilogue on Franklin Street).
