ABOUT THIS COMMITTEE

With the recent releases of Minecraft, GTA V, and various Call of Duty titles, the rise of modern video games casts a long shadow over the once-celebrated world of the Miis, the avatars of the Nintendo Wii universe. As these new games flourish, the Miis face the threat of becoming relics, overshadowed, and on the brink of irrelevance in the gaming community that once revered them.

Amongst the Nintendo Board of Directors, tensions swell as strategies clash over the future of their foundational creations. The seeming failure of the Wii U console prompts a summit involving Nintendo's key executives, innovative game developers, and influential industry partners. The core challenge: to revitalize the world-renowned Miis and secure their prominence in an era dominated by modern gaming phenomena.

Eileen Weng (she/her)

Eileen is a junior from Clayton, NC, studying Public Policy and Exercise and Sport Science (EXSS). She has been involved in Model UN since her sophomore year and has been a senior staff in UNCMUNC and a senior staffer in MUNCH. When Eileen is not writing a policy brief at the last minute or doing something Model UN related, you are more than likely to find her hanging out with friends, watching basketball, baseball, and/or football. She is also developing a love for volleyball, pickleball, and constantly trying to beat her NYT level-easy Sudoku (2 minutes and 5 seconds). Eileen is very excited to work on UNCMUNC XV and make it a memorable experience for everyone who attends!
